’Stone Lanterns -Available ’
TEHRAN, Oct. 30--The first edition of the book ’Stone Lanterns’ by Abdolrahim Saeedi-Rad has been published by Sureh Mehr Publishing House.
The publisher said in a press release that the book contains the works of contemporary Iranian poets about Palestine in three chapters ’Once Again Deep Wound at Hand’, ’From Soil, Memory and Wind’, and ’Deserts of Exile’ which convey the plight of the Palestinians.
The third chapter ’Deserts of Exile’ includes poetry by Palestinian and non-Iranian poets such as Jabra Ibrahim Jabra, Al-Atosh, Salem Jabran, Mahmoud Darvish, Sami Al-Qassem and Ahmad Motar.
Iranian poets whose works are printed in the first and second chapters are: Qeisar Aminpour, Hamid Sabzevari, Mahmoud Shahrokhi, Sirous Asadi and Salman Harati.
Saber Emami has translated a poem by Sami Al-Qassem into Persian.
The book has 196 pages and costs 13,000 rials. It is published in 2,200 copies.
